Independent Little Tikes Retailer Wins Award Among The Big Boys

Cleveland, OH March 2010. Independent retailer Toysandhome.com recently received an award from the independent shopping surveyor for ?Great prices, huge selection and superb customer service.? This is the first time that an independent has broken through to win an award in the Specialty Toy Category usually reserved for the Big Box retailers.
ToysandHome.com owner, Jacqueline Johnson, attributes the companies overall success to working hard to keep prices at the very best by working with suppliers and vendors to come up with the best deals. She also said that the recent downturn in the economy has really focused shoppers on finding the best deals even on small items they may have just run to the local Big Box to pick up in the past, Little Tikes that is.
?We have seen in increase in our traffic, sales and customer reviews.? Ms Johnson said. ?It was quite a surprise when we were contacted by the folks at The Find letting us know that they had selected us as a winner.? ?As an independent we are always fighting to keep up with the massive machines of retailers out there. Winning an award that they have won makes us feel that we are being noticed and our model makes sense.
This year we are looking to open another store and bring in some new Vendors to add to our line up of Little Tikes, Step 2 and Melissa and Doug. We have had great success with Step2 playhouses and Little Tikes inflatable bouncers and hope to add some powered ride on vehicles with the addition of our new store. ToysandHome.com has been in business for 8 years and went through a change of ownership in 2008. The new ownership headed by Ms Johnson has increased overall business by 30% year over year and a recent look on the web shows that 4.5 out of 5 customers who have reviewed their store have a 5 star rating.
